Finding and maintaining your inner peace.
Life update: currently experimenting with the phenomena of ‘balance’. It’s a tricky one.
I really struggled at the end of 2020. I was feeling overworked, anxious, and discouraged. Mostly because I lost sight of my value and priorities. It's not that I was unhappy per say, I just wasn't investing the time and mental energy into the places I needed it. I wish you could have seen my pile of self-help books and queue of TedTalks.
One of the things that got me through was the element of impermanence. Everything is temporary, the bad and even the good.
Balance is a constant moving target. Life isn’t consistent so the best you can do is work on your inner peace to ride all the ebs and flows. And keep growing.
Some of the words that helped get me out of the funk -
🌱‘Imbalance masquerades as a sense of frustration with your current lifestyle.’
🌱‘Getting in balance is not so much about adopting new strategies to change your behaviors as it is about realigning yourself in all of your thoughts so as to create a balance between what you desire and how you conduct your life on a daily basis’
(Both quotes from Dr. Wayne W. Dyer, from his book ‘Being in Balance’ - highhhly reccommend.)
✌🏼 That’s all for now. Hope you’re having a great day and enjoying this picture of a chair that I want a whole set of . (photo found via Pinterest)
